Another beautiful sunrise today! This is not what I intended to be blogging about but it’s too pretty not too include. Plus it’s not every day I manage to get up quite so early. Ventured into the farmer’s market this morning for fresh produce and our new favorite thing, osso bucco and steak burgers from local Scottish Cattle raiser, Piper Ranch. Delicious. I love Brooklyn for it’s local focus, but here local is the default. As it should be. You have to go out of your way to avoid local. Not that anyone would want to do that.
Spent the rest of the day working on the finishing touches on my dress, while my dear boyfriend prepared lunch for me on his day off; rabbit sausage, three types of salami, homemade pickles, lingon berries, and Micucci’s delicious Luna bread. Below is the interior of the bodice, using the catch stitch to attach the outer front material to the bust cup. At this point I’m on to using the pick stitch to attach the bodice lining, fully equipped with boning. I love all the hand stitch detailing.
