Soo excited! Finally got my first samples back from Spoonflower.com; and they did a beautiful job. I couldn’t be happier. And now that I know the colors are good, I can go ahead and order more to make tea towels for my etsy shop. And the smaller teapot print was to play with scale for a possible apron application.
With Spoonflower, you have the option of choosing pantones for your designs, otherwise the printer will automatically assign colors… but I was worried how well it would do, not having worked with them before so I chose the pantones for my larger samples. I was curious to see how the printer did, so I ordered small samples as well (pictured above). So these are the colors the printed chose based on the files I gave them, and I have to say they came out great. They are a little pale, as I thought might be the case, but pretty darned reliable. I think the only color I might change is the dark dark brown on the full orange towel, which I picked out. But aside from that, I am thrilled. No, even including that, I am just thrilled.
