After numerous requests, I was finally inspired to heed my boyfriend’s request to make us some napkins. Mostly, because I love this fabric, and needed to find somewhere prominent to implement it. But also, because his cooking deserves better than paper towel napkins. (Above: polishing off a delicious ham hock and lentil soup he made).
And we have some special guests coming up for Easter! I can’t say that our dinner guests up until now have noticed, but then again, I might not be the best judge. We really only used fabric napkins for holidays in my home growing up. And I only ever think to have napkins for certain meals, like tacos and hamburgers. We’re pretty tidy eaters in my family, and true to our Swedish blood use both a fork and knife more often than not. But maybe that’s not the point. I’m working on it. In the meantime, I’m really excited above this colorful touch at the table.
