I’ve been looking through my stash for a durable fabric to make a dog bed… and that’s when I came across these. I think I’ve had these upholstery samples (plus a whole lot more) for about three years. I had tried sewing with them a bit before but found the seams a bit bulky. But that was before I had my industrial machine. And before I knew the importance of pressing my seams.
Nice thing about making a dog bed, I can work on the floor. Mapping out the color squares….
Apple sneaks in, in the 10 minutes I left to make lunch.
…And this is probably my first actual venture into ‘quilting’. AND, the colors worked out much better than I had anticipated, in the end. Unfortunately, I can’t find enough of anything durable for the bottom… so that will have to wait.
