I’ve gotten the green light on a small commission with a local restaurant, my first in Portland, which is exciting. So I’ve been puttering around in the basement with my brother’s power tools. It’s fun to have sawdust flying again, it’s been a couple years now since I spent most of my life in a wood shop…. but it would be nice to find a dust mask. And he’s given me one of his small band saws! Now I just have to figure out how to get it up to Maine with me. Hm.
And in between projects in the basement, cleaning my mom’s kitchen (I’ve made a little shelf to go on the counter for her tea… which will be done once I find the drill to put it together), and rummaging through closets, it’s visits with the baby! He looks like a little boxer with his mitts on and his little barrel chest. A boxer that needs a name.
And for your viewing pleasure: another result of my rummaging. I love the graphic design on this sewing kit. Clean, simple, straight to the point. And I’m off to sew button holes on some more bibs!
