Now, this photo might not look like anything special, but to us, it is huge. In under a week’s time, these two have not only learned to co-exist, they seem to have accepted each other too. Apple is over the terror, and (we think) over the hatred (though some times she looks pretty ticked off), and Radio no longer feels the need to chase her. Mostly he walks up to her and sniffs, she puffs up a little or maybe growls, and he walks off. No drama, nothing getting knocked over or broken in the chase… We’ve been lucky to have a lot of time to spend with each of them (and both of them together in our ‘therapy’ sessions), but they’ve come a long way on their own too. And I’ll admit, things were pretty stressful for a couple days. Now our biggest concern is that the fireworks are over with so I (and Radio) can get some sleep - he’s been a mess with them going off all week up here.
I like this set of photos; checking up on each other (but eating together too!). They even fall asleep just a few feet apart too… occasionally opening one eye to double-check the where-abouts of the other.
