We had some friends over for dinner last night, and I got to try shepard’s pie for the first time. My boyfriend made it using the lamb we got (we purchased half a lamb from a local farm have a fully stocked freezer), and parsnips in the mash. It was delicious. And the dressing he made for the salad was a meyer lemon mustard vinaigrette. It was so good I could have eaten the whole bowl myself. And I made a Maple Yogurt Pound Cake (a variation of this recipe) with fresh vanilla bean, extra lemon, served in two layers with a maple whipped cream in the center. Also fantastic.
